Gloucester Cheese Rolling and Wake 2009
29th May 2009
Hundreds of brave(or foolhardy people)threw themselves down Coopers Hill, Brockworth Gloucestershire UK for the annual Cheese Rolling Event.
Injuries were low this year but as always the rolls and tumbles were spectacular!
The various outfits worn by the cheese chasers had to be seen to be believed. They varied from full head, knee and elbow coverage to one man who ran naked down the hill.
As always it was a good natured crowd who watched the event and fantastic support was given by SARAID and The St.John Ambulance units who were on hand to rescue the injured and bring them to a place of safety where they could be treated. The ambulances were in great demand on the day!!
