Frank Turner at Fopps Records Gloucester 7th June 2007
13th June 2007
Frank Turner of "Million Dead" fame has launched his debut album as a solo act. He came to Gloucester recently to give a short mini-gig in Fopps Record Store. Frank was terrific and sang a few of his newer numbers as well as tracks from the new debut album: "Sleep for the Week". A genereous crowd arrived and were,as always, very supportive of the great man. I wish more stores would adopt this idea of regular but short vsits by performers for their public. Frank has found a whole new range of songs and music and has clearly been busy writing and recording over the winter. His music is exceptional and played with great enthusiasm. His voice is strong and clear. His songwriting skills show interesting imagery and made you go home thinking about some of the lines he had written. Frank Turner is not to be missed and is to be found headling at TwoThousand Trees Festival Cheltenham on the 12/13th July 2007. Be there and dont miss it!! A big thank you to Fopps Records for hosting the public and the gig.
